Okay - ever since we found out we were expecting twins, I realized a bit too late that buying a car in October was going to pose a three-car seat challenge. Finally deciding we really don't need to commit to taking a loss selling the Camry we bought or a much higher payment on a minivan, we have gone car seat crazy.
Who knew a couple of babies would mean needing to rethink your entire vehicle situation???
I vaguely remember my sister Amy mention something about Radian car seats and just seriously researched Radian80 car seats. They have excellent safety ratings -AND- will fit three across in a mid-size car. Our initial hope is that we can buy one Radian80 for Gabriel that will fit with the two carrier car seats we bought for the babies... if not it looks like we will invest in three Radian80s. Granted they are pretty expensive, but not as expensive as buying and selling cars (much to Wes' happiness).
Whoo hoo - looks like we are getting the few final details in place in plenty of time for Baby A and Baby B!

Jeremy and I are discussing baby #3, and we would like to avoid buying a new car. It's nice to know about these car seats. One thing I just found while reading about them we this:
To fit 3 across a SUV. The vehicle must have at least 51" of interior back seat width and have about 48” of width across the top of the passenger seat back.
You might want to measure before buying 3 of them. Just in case. I don't have an SUV either, so I wonder if this will work... If not, I guess we will have to think of a new plan.
Let me know what ends up working, ok?
Thinking about you and praying for the babies (all 3 of them). Samuel might be 3 but he'll always be my baby...
It's amazing how kids can change your life:) I remember when we had an old thunderbird car + two kids and then I got pregnant with twins. I did have to end up buying the mini van:) Best wishes!!!
